Not that anybody actually reads this blog, or cares, but for those who do, you might be wondering about the lack of activity on the site, and the blog. This is due to a number of factors, actually, namely a series of events in my actual life, starting with the death in the family last November. I may or may not explain further in a later post, but as you might imagine, it was kind of a sudden sledgehammer blow out of left field.

On the pile of non-life-altering stuff, my laptop finally died. Fortunately, I managed to salvage everything of actual importance, and have a good desktop computer at my disposal. Now, it’s just a matter of getting my crap together. Again. -_- I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do with the site, and we’ll see.

In other news, I stumbled on this today. This? Is awesome. Like, crazy awesome.

A thought from playing through FFX: Yojimbo is an Aeon who’s fayth was an assassin-for-hire. You actually have to pay him to get him to do anything. He’s an Aeon. What in the hell is he going to do with money?

Seriously. You pay him, and then what? I mean, okay, you used to be an assassin. Okay, you require some symbolic thing connected to your former assassin days. But… what are you doing with it afterwards? You’re a dream of a soul trapped in a statue of what used to be a person.

Does the Gil just dissapear when Yojimbo’s dismissed? Does he keep it? Is it some off-screen contractual thing that the summoner who called him has to buy him stuff with the Gil they pay him? Is he working towards a new stereo system for the Chamber of the Fayth? Does he just want the symbolic offer of money for his services and give it back when he’s done killing whatever you summoned him to kill?

Actually, no, he doesn’t do that — I’d have noticed by now, I think.

This is probably one of those things you just shouldn’t think about, like why random minor enemies are carrying around weapons and armor. Hey, maybe the enemy ate some poor bastard and their armor or weapon got stuck in the monster’s teeth or something?

Death by flan. It’s an ugly way to go.

Well, the cough is almost gone… but now I’m sneezing, and my head’s all stuffed up. I wonder if there’s something in the air…

Wow. So, apparently, I have been really lazy about posting in my blog. Honestly, I’ve meant to come post something, but I have been really, really tired lately, and I just haven’t gotten around to it. Not really sure why, but I am. Possibly because it’s been such an eventful couple of weeks. ^-^ Also, I think I may be coming down with something. I’ve had this bizzare, dry, scratchy throat thing for awhile with the beginnings of a cough. So, now I’m drinking some nice peach-flavored tea with honey to try and clear it up. ^-^

Site-wise, I’ve been doing a lot of spriting, and working on a few other projects — have no idea when any of them will see the light of day, however. I don’t know… I guess I’ll just take it one day at a time, or something, and work on whatever I feel like working on. Same as usual. ^-^

No, I’m not dead. Yes, today was my birthday. Can’t say I feel any older, so to speak. There was ice cream cake (chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream — awesome ^-^) and my brother gave me a present — Resident Evil 4. This should be interesting. ^-^

Did some spriting yesterday, but I’m not planning to upload anything yet. Probably not for awhile. I’ve been kind of distracted lately, what with the Olympics and now the coverage from the Democratic National Convention. I’m liking the outdoor, live crowd setup that they’ve got going on right now. Kind of have to wonder about who’s brillant idea it was to set up their stage outside, across the street from Union Station, with trains coming and going (and blowing their whistles, drowning people out. Heh.)

Well, it’s been awhile since I posted last, hasn’t it. It’s not that I’m not doing stuff, it’s just that I haven’t really had the motive or the energy to do any blogging. I’ve been tired a lot lately, now that I think about it.

Yeah, I know, that was two weeks ago. ^-^ The good news is, I got some work done while I was gone. The bad news… well, seeing as I haven’t updated lately, you can probably guess where I’m going with this.

Nope, nothing of too much importance to note. No updates… yet. *sigh* No, I’m just taking a little weekend off, hoping a brief change of scenery will help in clearing up whatever mental block about layout-making I’ve got going on. We’ll see.

You know, it’s really frustrating when I really want to upload stuff, but I can’t because I’m still trying to put together a layout. And I’m not just talking about Pixel Imperfect — though I seriously need to change the layout there — it’s had the same layout since I created it. Eep. -_-;

I guess this is what could be called “layout block.” You know, like writer’s block, but of the layout-making variety, and while it is affecting a new layout for Pixel Imperfect, the actual “site-to-be” in question that is seriously being held up is the vector trace site. I’m kind of thinking that I’ll make the vector site a part of PI, at least from the start and just go from there. At the moment, I actually have several traces finished, but nowhere to put them, really. I don’t really want to add them to PI now, mostly because of the fact that I’m going to have to re-organize a bunch of stuff there when I finally get around to making and uploading a new layout for it.

*sigh* Well, it could be worse, I guess. I mean, at least I have a computer suitable to work on again. Even if my ability to work is being overthrown by a lack of inspiration or something. ^-^

Anyway, I’m tired and I’ve done my duty, so — *yaaaaawn* — I’m out of here. To be continued, I guess. ^-^
